Introduction
This page should give you an overview over the packaging of Nagios and (recently) even Icinga related packages within Debian GNU/Linux. The motivation of this site is to give an overview over the available packages and the areas, where work or help is needed.
Nagios and Icinga are robust and scalable host/service/network monitoring systems. They are capabable of remotely monitoring large numbers of devices/hosts simultaneously, have an extensible plugin-based architecture, a notification framework, a web-based interface, and more.
Currently there are a bunch of people listed in the Nagios Maintainer Group, which doesn't reflect the real status as most of them are just inactive. As a result of this some packages aren't getting the attention they deserve. Feel free to stand up and offer your help, if you think that should be changed. Of course, we had several offers in the past, unfortunately that didn't result really into any significant progress yet.

SCM
Currently some packages are maintained at svn.debian.org which are accessable via svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-nagios/ (for more informations see http://svn.debian.org/).
More and more packages are using a gbp-style git as scm, for details see the PTS links in the following section.
Jenkins
Some major packages are autobuild via Jenkins integration service at http://icingabuild.dus.dg-i.net/jenkins/.
